I know some people may say stupid things like "you are playing too much" or something like that, but I actually didn't play that long.

My thumb is a little red and hurt to the touch, how can i get rid of this?

If you maintain the pace of your usage, your finger will become used to the workout. Until that happens, take breaks to rest your thumb.
