when you give someone advice about what to do, and they don't do it. then you think, if i was in that situation would i have done the same thing? because, sometimes you can absoulutely, without question know something is the right thing to do, but for some reason, it's the hardest thing to do, and somehow, sometimes... you can't bring yourself to do it. And that makes you fell really bad... so being able to do something that you tell someone else to do, is usually easier said than done..
good question by the way :)

Not saying anything.
For instance, seeing an injustice committed, but saying nothing, because to act upon it (speak out) would only make the situation worse (in the short term. Obviously, there can be no justification for never speaking out).
I daresay we'd all say that was easier said, than done.

For me... it is easy to promise my daughter that I will always be there to protect her, when I know there are forces in which I have no control, and god forbid I fail her.

This answer sounds like an answer to another question: Whats your worst fear?

That would pretty much cover any advice you give to someone else: It's easy to tell someone what they should do in the situation they are in, until you are in the situation yourself- then it is hard to follow your own advice sometimes.

It's easier to say I love you than to show it in so many little ways.
It's easier to say I will do something nice for someone tomorrow than to actually project yourself to do it.
It's easier to condemn someone than it is to praise them.
It's easier to gossip than to speak the boring truth.
It's easier to say, "I'll do that tomorrow" cause tomorrow never comes.
It's easier to say one won't be negative about anything than it is to not be negative about it.
