What do I do when I'm sober @ a party where every1 is drunk?
Ok, so I went to my friend's 16th this weekend. The entire grade was invited, and I knew it was going to be a bit out of control, but I figured I could handle it. I got to the party at 730 (it started @ 7) and EVERYONE was drunk, except me and a group of girls. I didn't know anyone except for about 5 girls and a bunch of guys spent the entire night smoking pot. It's not like this is foreign to me, it was just the awkwardness. We were just standing in a corner, clueless about how we should act with all these stupid teens stumbling around and screaming and making out. I was even considering getting drunk just to get rid of the awkwardness of the situation. What should I do next time this happens.

Oh heck that is a tough one, well for one I would just leave, they are a bunch of stupid clods and don't know how to party without being sober. Drinking is not a smart thing to do..actually it's a stupid thing to do because most likely you end up throwing up which is gross! But all you gotta do is leave and no one will even notice that you left. I know that is a tough thing to do to stand there with a bunch of clods..! But if you're with others that are not participating with the drinkers then you're not alone. Just do what you think is best and what you're comfortable with and never let peer pressure get in your way, it can be the worst thing you've done. Be yourself and be proud! Not drinking does not make you a loser, they are the losers. Because many times it involves car wrecks, DUI, family problems, you can even get yourself into trouble that you cannot get yourself out of... So do the right thing just don't drink no matter what. You'll be thanking yourself many years from now! trust me! Also when you hang around with people and you're drinking believe me they don't care what happens to you! If you were to get ill or over intoxicated they would do nothing to help you. That's another reason not to drink with those stupid drinkers.

The good thing is that you are smart enough not to get caught up in it. Although you might feel like you are left out because you aren't getting drunk and doing drugs, you are actually the coolest person out of all of them. The thing to do is just laugh at how stupid they all look. If you want to, you can leave. Just because everyone else is drinking, doesn't mean you have to also to have a good time. If you are worried of what people thing, just grab a cup with soda and walk around with it all night and act drunk with them. At least you won't get date raped because you were drunk and you'll remember and have respect for yourself the next day.

It would be a bit awkward wouldn't it! You could either just go home or hang out to be sure everyone gets home safe. You could be the keeper of the car keys if someone wanted to drive. I am assuming you didn't get drunk and I think you made a wise choice. Where were the parents of this 16 year old? I think it would just be best to leave since you are obviously smarter and more mature than most of them were.

I think the next time it happens, get out of the situation immediately. I have a daughter who's about your age, and that's what I've always told her to do if she's ever in a situation like this. If there is one time she listens to me, I'm hoping this will be it.

I went to high school too so I know what happens at parties, but if you keep your head on straight and don't get sucked into the peer pressure of doing what other kids are doing, you'll be fine.

What teenagers think is cool are actually things that are not cool

Leave. Obviously you are the only person who finds it ridiculous and that it is. Life is fast and short enough, enjoy your youth. Drugs and alcohol in situations like that are just plain stupid. Where the hell are the parents? Oh yeah, this is modern america and they don't give a rat's as$. Don't become another statistic. Kids that young don't have the responsibility for drugs and alcohol. Hell, most ADULTS don't. Keep yourself away from those fast track to rehab children.

It is always fun to "play games" with the drunkards. Dare them to do stuff that thay wouldn't otherwise do. You know, just sorta play head games with 'em. Or you could just make the intelligent choice and not even go in the first place.Youdon't have to be a follower ya know. Try being a trend setter instead of trend follower.

If you have a video camera hang around just long enough to get some good footage of your inebriated friends. Show it to them the next day after you've asked them if they'd like a plate of nice runny eggs!
