I am a good knitter, but have not tried double knitting yet. The website listed in the sources has a video on how to double knit about 2/3rds of the way down the page.

For other knitting techniques look on the rest of the webpage.

Good luck!

Double knitting, I assume, is where you knit a piece of fabric in the round so that it opens (like a pocket) but on only two needles. You cast on enough stitches for both sides and then work this way: knit the first stitch, bring your yarn forward as if to purl, but slip the next stitch as if to purl without working it, bring the yarn back and knit the next stitch. You alternate knitting, slipping with the yarn in front across the row. On the return row you slip the stitches with the yarn in front that were knit on the previous row and knit the stitches that were slipped in the previous row. You alternate these two rows for the full length of your project. It is easy to find mistakes, because at that point your fabric will be joined.

I knit comfortably well but have never done double knitting -- unless you mean knitting with two strands of yarn at the same time. I do that a lot. If you have other questions about knitting, feel free to email me by clicking on the name under my avatar.

you probably did no longer something incorrect. that's the spectacular thing approximately knitting with 4 needles interior the around. You by no ability ought to purl except you're doing a trend which includes knit and purl such as ribbing.
