Hi qtg! I've finally got time to check in - hope all is well......
Secrets, secrets....how I hate secrets!! I have been known to keep secrets....and then again I have been known to spill a few. The important ones I keep and the gossipy crap ones I've blown once or twice I'm ashamed to say. But these are ones that have come second hand, not from someone who has asked me to take on their confidence.
Good question - you got a good response for this one!

Most likely no-one that's why it is a secret. Unless, it was something that really needed to be told to someone. I would first try to get the person who told me to tell it. Just depends on what it is & if it's really important. If a secret is about someone, I don't think that's fair cuz that's how gossip, rumors & slander starts. (I don't like people being ganged up on.) I'd think someone would have the right to know others were talking about them. Cuz in a fair trial in court, whatever is being held against you or said, you have a right to know. You have a right to counter it & defend yourself. That way you can nip it in the bud & rebuke it.

It depends what the secret is. If it is important for someone else to know about it, I would tell that person. If someone wants someone kept secret, they should not tell anyone about it. The more people you tell, the higher the risk of people finding out.

I am really good at keeping secrets. No one.
Once you tell anyone your secret or someones secret it is no longer considered a secret. A secret is only a secret if it is never spoken. Then it becomes gossip.

Probably no one, but possibly my husband, depending on the secret and the person who told me the secret. I am as sure as I could possibly be that it would go no further.

If the secret wasn't illegal or unethical, then I wouldn't tell anyone. But if it isn't, then since someone would or had been harmed by the secret, I would tell the appropriate people to try to get it amended or resolved.
