and protect the one you love or is it better to tell them the truth? For example, in the case of infidelity would you want to know if it were from the person you loved most in the world of do you think you could live without knowing? Would you want to know? Just wondering.....

Always tell the truth, no matter what. If you lie and someone you love finds out about it, you just hurt them twice. If it's hard to tell the truth, just tell bits of the truth and leave some detail out, unless asked for.

As they say ignorance is bliss I think I maybe tempted not to know since it would spare me loads of heart break BUT I've always believed in truth so I think I would go for truth because a truth is still a truth even if hurts.....

In the case of infidelity, if it isn't going to happen again, if there's no chance your mate would hear it from someone else, if there's no way your mate would be hurt by it (other than your telling him/her), I wouldn't say anything about it. Then be sure it doesn't happen again, because eventually the cat will get out of the bag. Better to not hurt someone in my opinion, especially if it was just a whim.

God gave up his only son for our sins this not mean take advantage of life and lie, tell the truth you will have to make up another lie for that lie and another. Lieing could get you in jail or cause death, even for a small situation where you think nobody will find out.

It really depends on the situation. I think sometimes you must lie, not just to protect yourself, but also to protect the other parties involved. If it is something that could ruin many peoples lives, then i would just lie.

I always tell the truth, and I get chastised for it. I will keep telling the truth, even if I f**k up utterly. And I won't be made to feel like crap for being honest about being human.
