I agree. I don't think the pharmaceutical companies should be allowed to advertise on television. I also think it's a crock that some pharmaceutical companies say they will give you drugs for free if you can't afford them. Great if it's a necessity, drugs for cancer or some other life threatening disease but for anything else they're just trying to get more people on more drugs.
My dad was never on any medication, never had a broken bone, never had surgery, as soon as he went into a nursing home they had him on antidepressants, sleeping pills, blood pressure meds, Alzheimers drugs, Flomax to help him pee, the list goes on and on. He died Dec. 7, 2006, 14 months after he went into the nursing home. I think he died of drug overdosing.
These drugs are pushed on the doctors to prescribe and the consumer to ask for by name.

It seems like a lot of pharmaceutical companies have gotten together and cooked up a plot to give Americans diarrhea, since that is the most common side-effect of all of those medications.
Start out with shyness, and end up with a reason to BE shy!.

Yes. I hate them all, but what they are trying to do is that, they are trying to put them so that you can take them, and you have to pay more and more money.
What is going on their minds is that it takes money to make more money. And that's why they keep advertising them.
when I am watching my court shows I don't like that commercial that says "Lunesta is proud to sponcer Closed Captioning for the is program, so the hearing impaired would enjoy the show we all enjoy".
And I don't like this commercial that says " Head on apply directly to the forehead, head on apply directly to the forehead, head on apply directly to the forehead. Head on I hate your commercial cause it is so boring. But is works".
Now I am needing to buy some NyQuil and DayQuil and it helps, and they advertise that on TV. Cause they are trying to just make the money. That's all their after is the money.
So, Yes I do hate those commercials too but some of them will work.

I hate them all. And yes they are trying to convince you that you need these drugs. This is the only way they can sell them and make money. They want you to believe you need them even if you don't. They don't care if get sick taking them, only that they get rich. Some have ugly side effects, but if you get one of them they will offer you another drug to combat this. It's a continous circle. Take a med. that gives you a headache, they'll sell you one that cures a headache. Isn't this wonderful?

I'm with ya..... What really gets me is the stupid commercials for erectile dysfunction. Like right in the middle of a family show (when the young kids are watching too)....the damn commercial comes on.... "if you have an erection lasting longer than 4 hours" Then, try to answer that one to your youngster!
