I'm 30 weeks pregnant and was wondering when I should start putting in to go on maternity leave? I'm a EMT/CNA so I do lots of lifting HEAVY lifting.

I go to the doctor tomorrow, so I will talk to him about it then.

Work for as long as possible... I went off 5 weeks before my due date, and just sat around waiting and getting angry, and upset, and anxious, and in a lot of pain!!
Keep yourself busy for as long as yo can handle.

Thats really up to your Dr...you can take maternity leave 6 weeks before your due date...If you are doing a lot of heavy lifting then you need to talk to your Dr. about that and see what they say about it....Good Luck~

Talk to your doctor but I would say 2-3 weeks before and I'd start limiting the amount of weight you lift right now.
