I set my soft guitar case, with my new Ibanez wooden guitar, hard top, in the back of my truck. Evidently I foolishly missed the little gasoline spill there from my gas can (for my lawn mower. I don't normally keep a gas can back there.). Now, my guitar case smells like gas, any my guitar does too. The case, of course, I can wash. I haven't even learned how to play a guitar yet, and no nothing about what to do. Is my guitar ruined? I don't see any stains or wet spots, but the smell is there on it. What will happen? What can I do?

Your best bet would be to simply use some kind of wood cleaning spray, such as pledge, and clean it off... repeatedly! The good news is that the guitar will be ok, Ibanez's are tough, the bad news is it will probably be a while before the gas smell goes away. If this doesn't work (Which it might not depending on the amount of gas involved) you may have to get it refinished. Hope this helps, if it does, please give me a best answer. See ya'!
