I am thinking of moving to a warmer climate and I want to know what area is best. When I say best, I mean someplace where it doesn't get too hot (more than 102) in the summer and it doesn't get cold (less than 65) in the winter.

I am trying to find a place that does not have a cold winter. I want the lows to be no less than 40 degrees in winter.

Sedona is nice,, but too pricey, much more reasonable with ideal climate is Prescott , and/or Payson( this is way smaller town than Prescott), both are about 2hrs north of Phoenix(depending on traffic), Prescott is west side of AZ,and Payson is east...
Prescott is much more like a city, than Payson ,which has more trees like being in Tahoe. I heard both get snow ,but doesn't really stick because of the high desert climate.. And I was there in the summer and it was 10-15 degrees cooler than Phoenix. So if it was 105* in Phoenix, it was 90* high and much more comfortable,, I was thinking about there to retire,, the one thing that holding me back, is the lack of good public golf courses in Prescott...

I live in Scottsdale. the weather is very bearable from Nov to April.
What U want is anything on the "Mogollon Rim" geography. Which is anywhere in the North or East Arizona. (above the the desert plane) The summers are very temporate yet the winter temps get below freezing.(as well as Sedona). Cotton Wood, Prescott, Clarkdale, and Sedona in the north. Check out Payson. It is about 4500 ft. Pretty summers and nice winters. Good Luck

There's no such a place in Arizona. The Phoenix or Tucson areas stay pretty mild in the winter (60's mostly) but it'll be well above your limit of 102 in the summer. Flagstaff, on the other hand, is tolerable in the summer (80's mostly) but can be cold (below freezing) in the winter.

The range you desire (65 to 102 deg.) can be found in South Texas and South Florida.

I wouldn't recommend moving to Arizona right now. Pagosa Springs in northern New Mexico or Durango, Colorado nearby are outstanding communities with the climate you desire. And, they are progressive, healthy communities that welcome people of all flavors.

Later: Both of these communities that I mention DO get colder that you desire. I'll think some more.

Sedona, the weather is nice due to it's high elevation, but it's more of a resort area.
