If you have a build a bear or a similer store, go to the store with your 2 year old and build a baby bear. When you get to the step where you can either choose the sound effect chip or an audio voice chip, choose the voice chip. Record a message, either by you OR your son (I think if it was by him it might be more memorable) like..."Little bear wanted to tell Daddy bear that there is going to be a new baby bear comming..." or something like that lol Just be creative. Have your 2 year old give the teddy to his Daddy on a special night after dinner/dessert. I had a friend of mine ask his girlfriend to marry him this way...and she got to keep the teddy bear as a keepsake. I thought it was brilliant! But you get the general idea. I'm sure you can buy a regular bear, or a build a bear kit and buy a voice recorder chip too. Just look around at your local crafters store, they carry them sometimes. :) Good Luck! and Congrats!

i fairly do not imagine it has some thing to do with them attempting to ignore your newborn / their sibling. i imagine it has more beneficial to do with their commonplace lives being more beneficial major to them than that of a get mutually for a 2 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous. I grew up with my mom and a step father. His 2 children lived with us an effective bit at the same time as they were smaller and children yet then they reached a aspect the position they imagine the lives they have are too major for his or her father too..till its a birthday and they are getting money or some important holiday the position they understand they more beneficial advantageous educate their faces. Its unhappy to assert..yet some people fairly basically are not kinfolk orientated..yet do not take it to heart..its their loss in the top in the adventure that they don't look to be on your sons existence.

What about just telling your 2 yr old to go tell daddy that "Mommy said he's going to have a new baby brother/sister. It will take him totally off balance and include your son in on it. Congradulations on the baby...

Buy them gifts that they will like & put a baby item inside the gift box on top of their gifts. They have to open at the same time & the baby outfit will be on top of daddy's gift & the baby toy on top of brothers toy? Then say "you are gonna be a daddy, again!" & "you are gonna be a big brother!"
wow, NSN, that brought tears to my eyes that was soo sweet!
T-shirt idea is really cute, too. Make the writing on his t-shirt small, maybe even have it printed on one of his plain t-shirts that he normally wears so it'll take a little while for Daddy to notice there's writing on there, & when he does & reads! For too sweet & fun! You can also buy that transfer paper you use with your printer & iron it on one of his t-shirt on the back or front, where-ever you think he might not notice it right away. (especially on a regular shirt he normally wears.) :)))! Congrats to you all, btw! Hope all goes beautifully!
Jeff's is very cute, too! Most all of these are great ideas!
Thanks for sharing your happy news & hearing all the cute answers!!!

Have your son tell your husband that he's always wanted a little brother or sister and now he's going to get one.

That's funny:)
There are a million possibilities.
When your husband gets home form work have your son say something like "Dad, am I going to have to share my toys?" The first thought in your husband's head is going to be---'Share your toys with who?' And that's when you walk in with one of your Maternity shirts on.
Then serve your husband's favorite family meal because he was the last to know;)

I think a cool way to tell him is by maybe decorating a room in your house with pink and blue balloons, decorations, etc. and leave a bigger balloon with a weight on it with the pregnancy test strung to it. or maybe playing sharades
