. You will need the Administrator password
1. Right click a blank area on your desktop >
select Properties
2. In the Display Properties window > select tab Screen Saver >
3. In the frame Screen saver
a. Select a Screen saver
b. Put in 5 or 10 minutes and
c. CHECK the box for
"On resume, password protect"
CAUTION: Prior to these settings you MUST have the Administrator password to get into your computer.
After the minutes you set, there will be a full screen block/window that will require log-in using the password.

Hit F8 while computer boots. You shoudl get a special menu in DOS. Select Safe Mode.
Log in under Administrator.
Go to Control Panel and select USER ACCOUNTS
Add a password to the ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT and also your regular account.
Reboot.
(The reason i had you make an admin password is that you can bypass your regular account password via Admin if you dont have a password created for it)

The best way to do this (assuming you are using windows xp) is to click the start button and click on control panel. from there click on user accounts and then click on your account (or your name.) after this click create a password.The rest is fairly self explanitory. Hope this helps, bye!
