Congrats and happy 3rd baby to you!
Misscarriages are going to happen wether you try to prevent it or not. Depends on your body and the embryo. If the baby is all genetically there, it implanted properly, and you are healthy, shouldnt be a problem. Miscarriages are quiet common, even in women that have had many healthy babies. I had 2 miscarriages and a stillborn fetus before I got pregnant with my 4th baby. I am 34/35 weeks and my baby girl is very healthy, happy, and doing great. No problems this time, never had a single problem from conception but i tell ya i was nervous as all heck. Every pain, any blood, any thing slightly out of the norm and i was crying thinking I was going to lose this baby too. Stressed me out. Finally i just thought i cant do anything to stop it and eventually calmed down. My big girl is due March 28th and cant wait to see her in my arms!!! My first living baby and Im 31!!! Yippee

Congratulations!
Why do miscarriages occur?
The reason for miscarriage is varied, and most often the cause cannot be identified. During the first trimester, the most common cause of miscarriage is chromosomal abnormality - meaning that something is not correct with the baby's chromosomes. Most chromosomal abnormalities are the cause of a faulty egg or sperm cell or are due to a problem at the time that the zygote went through the division process. Other causes for miscarriage include (but are not limited to):
Hormonal problems, infections or health problems in the mother
Lifestyle (i.e. smoking, drug use, malnutrition, excessive caffeine and exposure to radiation or toxic substances)
Implantation of the egg into the uterine lining does not occur properly
Maternal age
Maternal trauma

congratulations!!!
I took four tests when i got pregnant - even called the 800 number on the package. I had tried for so long - couldn't believe it actually was true!
Make an appointment with you ob/gyn soon - they can monitor your hcg levels ( i think that is what they are called) with blood tests. From what i understand, there isn't much that you can do, other that take it easy and take your vitamins.
good luck!

Congratulations. Make a prenatal appointment first thing Tuesday morning. You'll want the doc to know that you've had a history of being unable to carry to term. Good luck!

I've heard one thing that can sometimes help prevent miscarriage is taking a baby aspirin everyday. But talk to your doctor about it first!
And congratulations!!
