Ok-- Your partner has made you angry... maybe even angry enough to end the relationship. Your partner wants you to forgive them. They're begging.

How?

Would they need flowers? Would they have to buy something expensive? Would they have to get down on their knees and cry at your feet? Would a simple, "I'm sorry, please forgive me." be enough? Maybe a promise that they would never (insert offense) again?

What kind of "begging" would have to be done for them to earn your total forgivness?

:)

And is "sorry" enough if it's something really bad? Maybe they hit you or cheated on you.

Whatever he says or does would have to come from his heart. I pick up on these things very easily, so I would know if he's sincere.

First, people don't make you angry. You become angry with them. Nobody makes you do anything, and if you think that they do, then you had best take some anger management classes.

Second, your partner shouldn't have to beg for your forgiveness. A relationship is about two people, not just one. If you think one of them should have to beg for anything from the other, then the relationship is being made about one person only, which is the person demanding the begging. By making it about just the one person you have in essence dissolved the relationship, and instead of an "us" there is a "you and them".

I suggest you stay out of relationships until you are mature enough to be in one.

Additional: Nope, I didn't hurt your feelings. You reacted hurtfully towards what I wrote. I didn't do anything hurtful to you, you just chose to respond that way to it.

Oopsy, too bad.

Begging would be the worst thing they could do. No promises, no flowers, no anything. I have lived long enough to know that these things mean nothing. They only pacify the moment. The damage is done. If I decide to forgive him, then it would be simple because I chose to.

this would be a great question! it style of feels to me that if the signifigant different have been fairly sorry for one indiscretion, they might by no ability tell their buddy approximately it. To difficulty a buddy to that form of discomfort, which they're going to relive of their head at random moments in the time of the relationship purely does not look extraordinary. i does not choose somebody i like to offload that info on me so that they are in a position to sense redeemed mutually as i'd be tortured continuously. in case you are able to desire to no longer tell, I even have been the recipient of this understanding and that i nevertheless secretly desire the adult men winky has rotted off when I undergo in strategies that difficulty. you recognize, i certainly tried to answer this question without being bitter. i grow to be with that guy 2 many years in the past! desire I helped.

A simple sorry will do for me but, forgiveness isn't something I do well, regardless of the presents bought... transgressions and wrong doings always remain in my mind.
