Should the death penalty be given to those who defend themselves?
If someone broke into your house shot you. He is about to finish you off, but you are able to pulled a concealed weapon out and kill him in the nick of time. You call for help, and you get arrested and sentenced to death for murder, should you be put to death?

This is an example of justice gone bad. It happens all the time and no I think you should get a medal.

That's why it's called SELF DEFENSE. Executions are normally only carried out IN THE U.S. for FIRST DEGREE MURDER or some other equally heinous crime.

No. That is a mitigating circumstance. You are allowed by law to defend yourself, your family and your home. It would be called self-defense and no charges would be pressed against you.
