Devil May Cry 1 & 3 might interest you. Good stories & trilling aciton. In fact (for DMC 1), it was once a prototype of Resident Evil that was in development. In example Salazar's Castle & the Novistadors are based off the Mallet Island Castle & the Beelzebub Bugs. Dante in DMC 1 also resembles RE 4 Leon.
As for DMC 3, you still get the same kickbutt action, but with different fight styles to select & more challenging gameplay. There is a greater variety of bosses to fight in the game as well.

Well silent hill was what i was going to say, but there is a game called fatal frame, it is pretty scary, and it lookes really nice, also cold fear. I hope you have played resident evil 4, the best one. I forgot to say clock tower 3. Enjoy.

well lets be honest there is no horror game that matches the resident evil saga. silent hill comes close. dead rising is from the same company who does resident evil, but i heard it is not so good. Blood rayne, and that game with that cowboy vampire hunter are kind of like resident evil, except it is with vampires and not zombies. but the fifth resident evil is coming for ps3 in 2008 i think, yeah pretty much.

Resident Evil 4 is probably going considered one of the greater powerful video games, the two interior the RE sequence and for the PS2. i in my opinion enjoyed the over-the-shoulder digital camera attitude, and the activity grow to be exciting all in the time of. even though, that's no longer as frightening as extremely some the previous video games.

There are a lot of shooters available for the PS2, but, there are no others like RE4. RE is one of a kind. Capcom or Konami are safe bets. GOD of WAR is a great game. Dead Rising for the 360, another Capcom game is a great survival/horror game with definite similarities.
