Everyone names defensive players because of the nature of today's game. I would think that at least one offensive lineman is fully capable of laying a hit on somebody under the right circumstances which would be at least as hard. After all, defensive backs and linebackers usually have a running start. If say Orlando Pace and Ray Lewis were to run into each other at full speed who do you believe would take the worst of it?

I don't have a list (Polamalu and Joey Porter would be on it, though), I just wanted to point out that ICG's answer is a prime example of why women and football go together like babies and razorblades, it's just not a pretty sight...

all these players mentioned can lay some wood i would add keith lewis of the 49ers kinda hits like a young ronnie lott
and also shawnte spencer simply for the hit he put on kitna when they played the lions still makes me wince
