ciara is not trying to be like mya and aaliyah. and in her video, promise, she was not trying to be like mya because in myas video she changed alot of cloths and it was a fast song.

No she is trying to be like Aaliyah and Janet Jackson, clearly.
Her label doesn't know how to let her have her own image and keep trying to market her as a "reincarnation" of these artists, in my opinion.
