A California Burrito and an In-N-Out Burger. I've heard people actually taking an In-N-Out Burger on a plane before so they could take one back home for others to try.
Your friend could go to TJ and get some cheap, tacky crap you can't really find anywhere else.

If she goes into Old Town or south into Tijuana, she will find lots of Mexican souvenirs....Mexican blouses, sandals, wallets, pottery, etc.
