I am going to start a small business on eBay, and I would like to know which is the cheapest way to ship my packages? I will use USPS priority. I know you can print labels directly off Ebay or use a site like stamps.com. But which is cheapest and most convenient?

thanks

Sorry, I wasn't being clear before. I'm going to USPS Priority, but I want to know which is cheaper- printing labels directly off ebay, stamps.com, or usps.com.

thank you

If you've already decided you're going to use USPS priority, then the cost of shipping supplies is taken care of by the USPS if you order your supplies from them. You can order just about everything you need (boxes, labels, delivery confirmation forms, etc) from usps.com for free.

The only thing I can think of that you'd actually have to buy is packaging tape and packaging material if necessary (like bubble wrap, etc).

Make sure you put in your auction that the buyer is responsible for shipping costs and specify what the cost to ship a package by USPS priority mail is for whatever you're selling.

There's also a shipping cost calculator at usps.com.

Remember that you are only paying for Shipping to the APO which is in the USA... Always Ship Priority Mail as Parcel Post takes months... A 2' X 2' is not big...it is about the size of a FRB (Boxes you get for FREE at the PO)... Weight does not matter with them... Pack as much as you can get into it for the same price... The Heaviest box you can send is 70#... It cannot measure more than 108" in girth... (Total measurements L+W+D X 2 =)

Priority sounds good to me. It is the cheapest. Add a delivery confirmation for a dollar more and you're set. ;)

Unless your packages are large. Then it would be wiser to go with a carrier like UPS. They're pretty cheap. Don't go DHL. Their carriers are very unprofessional from what I've seen. FedEx is ok. I think they're a little more expensive though.

Depends on what you're shipping I guess. Media Mail is the cheapest as far as the USPS goes, but it's supposed to be media material...DVD's, CD's, etc.
