Does have lyrics. Starts as ... The Summer knows...the Summer knows and unashamed she sheds her clothes....all I can remember.

The theme song for Summer of 42 is entitled Theme for Summer of 42 by Michel LeGrand. To my knowledge there is no lyric.

Michel LeGrand is a symphony conductor famous for hundreds of film and tv scores and I would be surprised to learn that there are lyrics to this theme song... It is beautiful.
