I'm a past factory worker and 20 year biker and i got the mouth from hell with three foot flames coming out of it- but when my ex boss that i do welding and foreman job for comes around when I'm in a public place like a restaurant he makes me look like a boy scout, all garbage, it even turns me off and he only does it when there are waitresses in the area that cringe when he gets going, so bad that i have to oppose his usage and all it does i make him think that he has stolen the show and it is potty mouth from hell

I don't even notice when people swear anymore. I think that came from many years of working in a bar.
Swearing doesn't bother me at all.

I guess it depends on the context.
I don't like being sworn at (who does?).
I don't like my kids hearing swearing (though God knows I'm guilty of that one), I loath the "C" word, but have dropped the "F" bomb thousands of time.
I don't mind if I hear people I know saying sh!t or *****, but apart from that, in general conversation, I guess I don't feel there is a need for it.
SO, after rambling on, my answer is yes it bothers me, but that I've also realised I'm a hypocrite! Yikes!

I believe swearing makes the person appear ignorant and uncouth. Whenever I hear a swear word, I cringe.

I think now days most ppl do it, however I do not agree with it in a professional place- or professional workplace---- I worked in a funeral parlour, and the "boss" and the front man both were demon cussers! but to the families they were all godly, it made me sick. I'm glad I'm not there anymore, ppl are SOOO FAKE!
