Just as the title states, what does "woe as me" truly mean? I have heard and seen both "woe is me" and "woe as me," but I am unsure as to what they truly mean.

The quote is " woe is me." Woe means sadness for the situation you are in. You are in trouble.

The word woe is used to express grief, regret, or distress.

Woe as me is a mis-quote, probably due to mis-spelling.
The true phrase is: "Woe is me" and it is used many times to describe a person who always has a negative attitude and feels as if they are ill used by others and have so much misery in their lives, through no fault of their own.

The phrase "woe unto you" is used many X in the Bible; King James Version, specifically in the New Testament. It meant that those spoken to would be full of woe.

A person who says "woe is me" usually means, 'I am just bad off today' or something frivolous like that. Sometimes I say it if I have made a very stupid error, but it isn't something big that would amount to anything, but someone has made a big deal out of pointing it out to me. I will then say, "oh, woe is me, I just can't seem to do anything right today!!"

I'm pretty sure "Woe is me" is the only way of saying it...

But anyway: "Woe" is sadness, misfortune, and general badness. So it means "Man, am I miserable. My life is nothing but woe..."

OK, lets take the words apart.
"Woe", this means sad, grief stricken, distressed
"as me" this is you. So you are saying, "I am very sad" or "I am very distressed."

This phrase occurs in the Bible, Job 10:15 (King James Version) in the form 'woe unto me'.
Job is one of the oldest books in the Old Testament, early versions of which date from about 1200BC, making the phrase in the original language 3,200 years old. The first occurrence of it in English would have been Wycliffe's Bible translation in 1382
