A girl has a part of her external genitalia known as the hymen. It is popularly called her "cherry" because it's about the same size shape and color. When she has sex for the first time it is (usually) torn and ripped --destroyed-- by the vigorous force of the penis. This is known colloquially as "popping the cherry".

Its a slang term for when a girl loses her virginity.
It came from the expression that "cherry" means new or pristine.
As the car was in CHERRY condition. In other words, the car had not been used or abused.
Therefore, when a girl loses her virginity she is no longer considered to be pristine. Pristine is virginal and a female who has had sex is no longer virginal.

I think that it has something to do with when It is a girl's first time...something happens qwith blood...but that's about all I know...if that is correct

the hymen bleeds when its been "broke" the "cherry popping" is when its broke and bleeding.
