We named our now 5 yr old Nicholas. So we nicknamed him Niknak! . We love it.
My parents still call me either flossy or dosiejean.
Nicknames are such an affectionate thing especially when given to us by those we love most.

it might be cute to call a girl a boy's name up until the time they start responding to a name. since she's one I would find another nickname or just call her the name you gave her, I mean you must have liked that if you named her.
