I can't decide if I should buy the DVD of Whisper of the Heart. I'm trying to study movies with very creative stories and heart to help me with a story I've been writing for a while now.

Whisper of the Heart is a wonderful. I know that there have been a few Miyazaki films that had horrible English dubs but this one has great voice overs. The story is also very sweet. Though, Whisper of the Heart isn't quite as creative as some of Miyazaki's work such as Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke. It's quite a simple story but it does have a lot of heart in it.

Yeah it's worth it, while your at it you should also buy The Cat Returns. Any film from Miyazaki is well worth it.

i think it's worth it. but i'm a bit biased. Whispers of the Heart is one of my favourite Ghibli studio films. along with "Tonari no Totoro" and "Spirited Away."

it is never worth it to buy the US release of anything that was fun to watch as a foriegn release. they cut all the good stuff out.

It's good, not as good as Spirited Away, but well worth the money.
