It sounds like Braxton/Hicks contractions. It is normal. If you are concerned, go see your doctor.

You're in early labor girlie! This is EXACTLY what I felt when I was 38 weeks with my son. I didn't know it, but I was in labor. The next day my water broke and I had him. You can stay at home until your water breaks or until you feel like you need to go to the hospital. Don't wait until it gets TOO painful though, because if you want drugs keep in mind it takes awhile to get them so go ahead of time. Congrats on the new little one!

sounds like early stages of labor dear, some people experience back pain instead of belly pain, if you are getting tightness in your belly time it, see how close the pains are apart. if your water breaks head for the hospital. Could be an early birth, Good luck and God bless you and your new bundle of joy!

The tightness in your belly are probably contractions and the pain in your lower back is indicative of that. Is your belly tight constantly? Keep your hand on your belly and check, if not, time them, and call your OB...good luck!!

I had back "labor" with my baby. It only lasted 2 days and it kept me up at night. It was in my lower back near my tailbone. Then the next morning I went into labor. It might just be where your baby is laying at inside of you. I had a friend that her baby actually kicked her in the spine everyday. Just try to relax, take a warm bath, take some tylenol, and see if it helps. Tylenol didn't help with my back labor, though.

You are pretty much full term (38-42weeks) so you could be going into labor or it could be braxton-hicks (false contractions) You should call your OBGYN and see if they want you to come in.
