If someone says they really like you does that mean they don't love you?

Well considering that you consider this friend a friend it is telling me that you guys are not romantically involved and are just really good friends. WHen he usually tells you that he loves you it means he wants the best for you and he cares about you but not romantically seeing that you both are just friends. When he said he really really likes you it means hes workign towards loving you in a more then friends way if you get the point.
