I really enjoyed old movies when I was a kid. There was this older movie called Island of the Blue Dolphin (1964).
I only saw it a couple of times so my memories of the whole movie have narrowed down to the story of this native girl who was living alone on an island and she became friends with wild dogs who at first were hunting her. It fueled my imaginary play for years. When my job life gets a little stressful, I find myself daydreaming about living on an island with no one but dogs.
Funny how much influence those childhood movies have over us the rest of our lives. I'm afraid to watch it now because it might be a terrible movie. Usually childhood favorites don't hold up in adulthood. Except Star Wars!!
