A person can live without food for quite some time, usually for many weeks.
The body will use its fat and protein stores (muscles) to help it survive.
If a person has a lot of fat stores (is very heavy), they will live longer than a
person who has very little fat (very thin), so how long a person can survive
depends a lot of the person. Of course, if you go without food for a few weeks,
you will be very weak since you have been using your own muscles for energy.

Water is a different story. A person will die within 3-4 days without water. The
size of the person really doesn't make much difference.

This is what I've heard. You can go about 4-11 days without food but without food or water it's like 3-4 days. Why would you want to starve yourself anyway?

First help classes (used to) instruct 30 days without nutrition, 3 days without water, 3 minutes without blood. that they had a factor to make approximately blood, yet i've got self assurance 30 days is a robust rule of thumb. As on your difficulty of becoming a "complete restoration to well-being", starvation would reveal a weak point no longer in the previous generally happening. So your total question is fairly "how long is purely somewhat string?"

sometimes you hear about people trapped in rubble after earthquakes for 11 days before they were rescued alive. they survived for 11 days without water !
You can live for a month or longer without food. Of course it always depends on the person's health, age, and if they are moving around alot, in hot weather, etc.

It varies, but you'll die of lack of water not lack of food. It's on the order of a few days.

No water, maybe 3 days.
No food, maybe 3 weeks.

It depends how hydrated the person was to start off with, and how much carbohydrate/fat reserves they had stored up beforehand, as well as how well they are nutritionally.
