this is happening to my best friend too. she also has an older brother and hes one of those people that just hates the world.

1. anyway, what i would do is tell your mom whats happening and ask her if she can stay over for the whole weekend (friday-sunday night)

2. be prepared: get like 3 or four movies to watch and have a bunch of popcorn ready. also nail polish, hair suplies and makeup.

3. i love doing face masks too. there soooo fun.

good luck!

The best thing you can do now and in the future is learn how to be a good listener. It takes years of schooling and experience to get good at giving advice and the biggest secret one will learn thru all that is how to develop the fine art of plain old listening. Most people actually talk out their own problems if they have someone to tell them to. You dont have to agree or even say a word just let her talk her heart out and soon youll acquire a lifelong trait many adults never learn in a lifetime. If it should get beyond your capabilities, dont be ashamed to help her get professional help somewhere. There are alot of trained pros out here that would be more than willing to help you work thru this. She is truly lucky to have such a concerned friend as yourself. This is the real meaning of a true friend thru thick or thin. Good luck

Unfortunately, there is not much you can do, except be there for her. Listen to her if she wants to talk, don't force it on her though. Just let her know you are there for her. Try to keep her busy, so that she doesn't think about it. Tell her to stay strong, she will get through it.

thats a tough situation, especially if you havent been in it yourself.

try making her comfortable. do things you two love to do, and always have. see a movie. play mini golf. do something crazy. get her out of the house!!! destraction is the key, but also save some time to comfort her if she wants to talk about it!

Just be her friend. Be there for her to talk about what she is going through. Let her know it is not her fault. She will get through it with alot of support.

don't talk about it.
not unless SHE brings it up.
and if she does talk about it...just make sure you let her know you're always there. tell her that she could sleep over anytime, and that she can always call you. maybe have her and her sisters over for dinner, or just her. let her know that YOUR family, is there for her too. so she feels more secure. GOODLUCK♥

All you have to do is be there for her- let her know you care. it's got to be hard... and just help her to realize she can get through it and that you understand. All you have to do is be her friend, let her know you're trying to help. good luck hun!! =]
