i think the nhl is.the season is very long,very physical and these guys play for the love of the game.they don't make the big money like the other sports.they get hit go to the sideline get stitched up and don't even miss a shift unlike turf toe in the nfl that side lines a player for months.

Wrestling!Hold on before you all start saying it's fake!Yes I know it is, but it must take a toll on the wrestlers body's. I mean all those suplexes and chair hits! I mean dont tell me that it does not hurt going through a annoincers table or being thrown off a ladder or being thrown off a Hell in Cell!

probably soccer because of the cardio involved, and probably mentally grueling as well because of the lack of goals made in a game if any at all.

rugby, ice hockey and basketball are the most violent ones.
soccer is very tiring - try running continuously for 90minutes.
