symptoms of a guppy being preagnet?

okay wow um...yeah I dont know much about guppys (I have had a goldfish) I just bought my guppy yesterday and she looks preagnat compared to the pictures I have seen but I dont see where the dark spot is so.....IS THERE ANY OTHER SYMPTOMS ? please help meeeee!

The female will get fatter and fatter as well as developing a dark ares behind her stomach. A picture on this link shows that spot very well. It also has some good information to offer.

when babies appear in the tank, you'll know. the fish will look large and almost bloated like. When the babies are born, you will need to move them to another tank or the adult guppies will eat them. The green fish nets that are sold at petstores have too big of holes in them and the baby guppies will slip through (i learned this from expierence). Go to your local pet store and purchase a minnow net, they should be like white nylon. Best of luck with your fish.

placed it interior the guppy breeder tank now and then placed a cup over it so that's going to relatively drown. i do no longer understand plenty approximately guppies yet are you able to call me over while the fish is fried and pro?

If you can't see a spot above her anal fin she isn't pregnant. When a guppy is ready to have her fry,you will be able to see their eyes in the gravid spot. And if you really want to know about caring for fish,get a book,read it.

If her belly is big, and there's a blackish little area behind her stomach, then she's pregnant. Female guppies always have a little bit of a black spot and swollen belly, but if it looks really dark, and really poochy, she may be having babies soon!
