All my life as a black man I spent grownig up I spent in the suburbs. My parents were born in a very poor inner city Philly and worked very hard to get an education and eventually got full-time scholorships to Pittshburgh University. After college they got good jobs and moved to the burbs, then my sister and I were born.
All my life growing up in school I spent with white people, I went to a black church but I still felt that in school I didnt belong anywhere and disconnected from the black community.
In school I was teased about being 'white' not by black people but by WHITE people and it hurt. I just wish that I was raised in the inner city around black people insted of being raised in the suburbs around white people. Any answers on why WHITE ppl would tease my about acting white?

Simply because your skin color is different. Thats why they tease you about being "whitewash". Happens alot here in Canada too, but its just white people playing around since they are seen as a minority at my school. (brown takeover). So yeah try not to take it so personally...it wasn't your choice to be born like that and to be put into a situation like that.

I agree that it is better for black kids to be raised around other blacks. They don't have to be inner city blacks or poor but they should still be black so when that kid grows up, he will identify with black people and not white people. This is why I would never put my child in a school or live in a community that is all or predominately white because it has a huge affect on the kids in the long run. They turn out to become little chocolate covered white people.

Because some people (of any race) and in your case here...those mean white people...are just ignorant, immature, mean, rude, racist, discriminative, and not worth your time worrying over. Not all people are like those people. Take each person individually and don't hate all people of a race because a few were mean. Sorry for your frustrations. Some people can be so cruel and heartless. Just try to rise above those jerks and know that YOU'RE the better person.

Your parents moved to the suburbs to get away from other black people just like all successful black people do. You should be grateful.

The answer is because they are stupid ! Who needs idiots like that around you. You are you for a reason and whatever that reason may be don't waste your time by trying to figure it out. It's like asking why is the blue sky blue, it just is and it's nice for that reason alone.
