I was just wondering if there was such a thing as earphones for an Mp3 player, where other people who might be next to you can't hear what your listening to?

I've been in class with people who have brought their Mp3's and basically the entire class knows what they were listening to, the lyrics were even clear. It's annoying to me, so are there any products out there that are like this?

I've heard of cancelling earphones and Isolating earphones but that is only for the person listening to tune out outside noise.

Any suggestions?

noise cancelling headphones, especially the around-the-ear kind, do a great job of isolating the sound both coming in and going out. if you want a cheap alternative though, most in-ear headphones are pretty good at keeping your music to yourself. I've used several pairs of Sony in-ear headphones (from Best Buy), and they've all had a pretty good sound and decent sound isolation.

in my opinion i does not touch the Sennheiser headphoens at £60+, they're passive no longer lively.. while you're ging down that path evaluate somethign like the Sony Fontopia's around £20 a pop. I had a pair of lively noise cancellign headphones fromMaplin, around £15, even though the build high quality grow to be undesirable, fell aside too actually. strategies you i'm no longer too particular how stable the lively cancellation equipment is. a number of them do even have microphones outdoors the headphone to cancel out the exterior noise. I felt that there grow to be a danger of having the quantity too loud, leadign to listening to injury. Persoanlly Ive by no ability had a difficulty with the Sony's.... ok the wiring did fall aprt after 4 years, yet at £20 a pop, you are able to replace them extremely actually, and nevertheless be quids in. in case you like those for listening to a hifi then i'd advise decide for headphones quite than ear buds.

Just advise these people that if other people can hear the music that they are listening to, especially if lyrics can be made out, that they are playing their music much too loud. Mention that not only is this annoying but that this can cause hearing loss. also mention that playing their music so loud will damage their headphones.

But if they are set on playing their music so loud there are no products, as far as I know, that will block this noise.
