one of my fish has been hiding in the little ship we have in there and only comes up when we give it food. can someone tell me whats wrong with it please.

Goldfish don't get pregnant. Their eggs are fertilized externally. And maybe there is nothing at all wrong with your fish. Sometimes they like a little seclusion.

Goldfish will be very fat and lazy when they are pregnant. All the male fish will chase them around the fishtank.
Your fish could possibly have congestion. You may need to feed it a variety of foods.

Goldfish lay eggs. They should be active at all times. Listlessness is a sign of a bacterial infection or poor water quality. You need to test the water and treat the problem.

goldfish arent really preggers, they just get pretty egg-laden, she'll be looking quite fat and not only that, the other goldfish in the tank'll be chasing her around bumping their heads to her hind, yes females too. I dont know whats wrong with your gf though, do you feed them peas sometimes? its good for them, maybe that'll perk her up!
