Try taking a nap while hanging from a tree branch upside down. Well, it may not make you taller. But maybe you'll grow bat wings and forget about being short.

no, the length of a nap is not a long enough time to undo the effects of gravity on your spine. unless you are talking about an amount so small as to be almost undetectable.

yes, well maybe not a nap, but measure yourself when you wake up and when you go to bed and you will see a difference.
it is because when you are awake you tend to be standing/sitting and doing stuff that required you to be vertical.
gravity pulls you down making you shorter. when you sleep you are horizontal, allowing the body to expand

eh well u should strech before and after sleeping. staying awake for days at a time will mess your back up if standing the whole time.
