Unfortunately the harder you try to make a good first impression the more likely you'll fail. Hollywood has made a ton of romantic comedies out of that scenario.
So often people try to be someone they aren't in order to make a good first impression. Sooner or later you have to be who you. This leads to making a bad "after" impression because regardless of what you were trying to do, you faked it and mislead someone leaving them to feel foolish.
Be clean, respectful and interested in others, that will make the best first impression. Hopefully that will be easy because it's who you are anyway.

Just act normal. Sometimes when you are nervous about making a good impression, you will appear to be too fake and people will end up don't liking you because of you. Just be yourself is the best advice!

Act just like the person you will be making an impression on. No one loves another like they love themselves.

good question, but i think that would depend on whom they are meeting. on one hand their is a CEO and the other is a pimp. one should act diff towards both in order to make a good impression. just be you.

I would say to try to smile and be friendly. But not in a false way. I think we tend to like people who are genuinely friendly.
