Definitely. I would make sure I had my first baby and then no more. My daughter, the firstborn, is happy and always was, but my son is miserable and hates life. I'm very happy with my life, but I must admit I wonder sometimes what would have happened if I had broken up with my ex girlfriend earlier (like everyone was telling me to do.) I might be married to someone else with children. (I currently have no kids.)
