If, on the day of your birth you were given the time and place that you would die, would you spend your life trying to avoid or alter it or just except it and live your life as you pleased?

It would depend on how and why I was dying. If it was because I was old then so be it. If it was because of some stupidity on my part, lets say drug use or driving recklessly etc then yes I would try to do something to change it. If it was a health reason that I could change, say lung cancer because of smoking then yes I would change may way in order change it. If it was because I was murdered or died in some way by violence brought on by another then yes I would try to be somewhere else at that time.

Depends: If I knew that I'll die at an old age, I'll enjoy life as much as I can, and let it be the way it's. But if I found out that I'll die from an accident or something similar I'll try to avoid what would cause it.
(Car crash: I won't ride the car that day, disease: I would get an early diagnosis and let the docs do their job! And so on), but I'll be waiting for my "alternative" way of death!

With the way some things had gone in the past, if I knew the time and place I would die, I would have already moved it closer so I would not have spent a long 5 years depressed a decade ago.

I'd get somebody I did not like to stand in the spot on the "x" under the boulder.
