I know of people that went to a Community College to refresh their student status to be allowed to stay for immigration purposes.
Anyone can go spend there money where they want. This should only make people in HR to be more diligent when considering academic credentials in CV's.

I share your indignation, since this is just making fun of immigration authorities, education system, people that are well prepared, HR departments, and North American (I am sure this happens all around the world) economy and job market.
