They are supposed to be unscripted so the predictability isn't there. If TV shows were better written, I don't think reality shows would be so popular. Too few original lines.

For awhile that was all that you could watch. The networks falling ratings forced them to try something different because their wells had run dry. Falling ratings mean less advertising means loss of revenue. Fortunately, for the networks they found a few of reality shows were big winners, so they fed the people what they would consume: mindless fluff.
The networks benefited the most because not only did they regain their ratings, they didn't have to pay their "talent" much since retards give almost anything to get on tv, including losing their dignity and working for free.
It's kind of ironic because most people think they are actually watching tv for enjoyment, when actually they are actively participating in mind control through subliminal advertising. Since television networks cannot run ads twent-four hours a day (though some do try) the actual programming is only there to fill the the gaps between the commercials. That's why it's called "programming"
I'll never forget an experiement that was performed in my seventh grade English class. My teacher had a tv playing at the beginning of class as the students came in. It played nothing but commercials for twenty minutes and no one ever questioned what show was on, they just sat quietly watching the commercials. Tv is the worst thing you can do to your mind.

Some people like to watch other people screw up to prove that theyre not the only ones to make mistakes. And other people like to live vicariously through TV shows.

Reality TV watching does not require you to use your brain and has no IQ requirement.
