In 1741 African americans conspired to burn the city. The conditions of slave life in 1740s made it likely that many ensalved NewYorkers would have endorsed such a plot.

Slavery came after 1741. At that time the country wasn't even founded yet, thus you either have a very wrong date or its a false statement. If you mean 1841 then I would still say the statement is false because many were loyal to the families they served.
