Yes, both are alive (if that word applies to machines) and still transmitting images and telemetry back to earth. They are currently taking a break from active exploration while they wait out the Martian winter.

while an observatory says that there is a a million/seventy 5 probability that an asteroid hits the planet they are unsure that the impact will happen, like subsequently. There are some uncertainties in the flow of the asteroid that don´t enable an exact prediction. This uncertainties would be decreased as further and added observations are made.

Yes, they are and are still doing science. One has a bad wheel but can still move around with the 5 remaining good ones.
