Take a digital photo of the insect as found , then complain to the manufacturer enclosing the photo. Keep the evidence in a plastic bag in the freezer in case they wanted proof.

call the health and safety enviromental department, that is in the local council offices and complain. keep the bread slice as evidence. if you thrown it away get it out of the bin. the eviromental officers needs evidence. they will visit the factory that produced the bread and your name will not be told passed on to the company. or you could just call the company and tell them and they may give you some compensation. but its best you tell the eviromental officer.

I did once. It was a cooked roach in a roll. Luckily I didn't have to put it in my mouth to foind it. I only saw it when I got home. So I took it back to the shop and showed it to the manager. He got all embarrased and said I could go get anything from the bakery free of charge.
