I uploaded the videos from my phone to my computer already, but windows media player says that it doesn't support the format i'm trying to play. I want to upload the videos onto youtube also, but I have no idea to to convert the files into watchable files.

Sadly, mobile phones record videos in a "3GP" format, something Media Player can't understand. To view them in Media Player (and to upload to YouTube) you need to install a video converter. The best one I use is called SUPER. You can get it from this website:

Better than most software, its FREE!!!!
Simply change a few of the settings, drag your original video into the display and it will convert the video for you to whatever format you want, providing it has the right settings of course.
"AVI" or "WMV" files work in Media Player best. I don't know what works with YouTube. Check out their website, it should tell you.
