Does the insurance company hold off paying until it reaches the steps? Even though the person they represent committed perjury and obstruction of justice. Do they wait until the person is most vulnerable and offer them the lowest amount possible..Or do they wait until the person they represent gets beat repeatedly so they have a reason not to pay?

Its been 4 years. My brother was nearly killed by a township supervisors son and the cop covered it up.It went in front of a judge and the judge told the cop the whole thing was scandelous , ludacris, and he didnt do his job one bit.All charges were dropped against my brothers friend, who was driving. But at the deposition the township supervisors son tells a totally different story..The cop died 8 days before his deposition..The township supervisor and his son,who is 38, both are owners in their company. It was a company truck..
My brother suffered a compound skull fracture, requiring titanium plates, broken femur, tibia, shoulder, and also had pulmanary clapse and needed blood transfusion..The sociopath that nearly killed him has no remorse and laughed when confronted..I dont think it is a situation to be laughing about....My brothers lawyer says its gonna be hard to prove to a jury because they were kids and hes a business man...What would you do if this happened to you or your son/brother.?

You do not say what your case is about. If you are making a bodily injury claim against someone, you have to be prepared for a long fight.
Several years ago, I was driving a car and was rearended by a truck. It took six years, to get an acceptable settlement from the owners' insurance company. It was done with a final meeting with the judge, just before the jury was to be selected.

Last year, a truck pulled out of a parking lot and drove into the side of my vehicle as I was driving by. It took one year and binding arbitration to get the owner's insurance to pay for the damage to my vehicle.

And, on top of everything, I am a retired claims adjuster. So I know the ropes and it still did not help.

A civil suit takes a long time if the lawyer of the insurance company wants to delay the case in order that the claimant will just agree to a lower amount through a compromise. The case must only be three months but it can take a year if there are intended postponements by th lawyers during trial.
