I've had many good AND bad experiences with self-tanners but settled on spray tans. By spray tans, I mean the daily tanner like Sally Hensen. The spray tans from salons, along with bottled tanners leave my pores dark as well. I've got medium-sized pores so if you also have larger pores than usual, or just very fair skin, you may be apt to have it build up in those areas. The problem is in the application but I could never figure it out. After the first day, you don't seem to have that "nice tan" look anymore no matter which bottled tanner you use, so I've given up on them. If you rub it in too much, it goes too deep and clogs pores, but if you don't rub it in enough you get streaking. Not to mention the horrible smells and the fact that once your pores are clogged with self-tanner, your body has no way to sweat or release toxins so you're more apt to sweat on your eyebrows, lip, and armpits more. The whole thing is a mess, my advice...spray everyday! :)

I guess the tan brought out your pores more. I think that you should just use it less or maybe use Biore to minimize your pores. Hope that helped!
