Seems like every episode of Thomas & Friends involves an accident of some kind, like a train derailment, hitting something on the tracks, a crash, etc. What's up with that?

If this were taking place in the USA, instead of the island of Sodor, the NTSB would have shut down that railroad and Sir Topham Hat would be hauled in front of a Congressional Committee to testify to a bunch of angry congressman about why he runs such an unsafe operation.

hahahaha!! When he was younger, my son watched that show all the time and we had tons of "Thomas" stuff: toys, videos, etc. I NEVER noticed that there were so many disasters! Guess the writers think that's the best way to show "helping, compassion, and team work."?
