the good old fashioned way would be boil them in a pot with some of your own washing powder , but another good way is the good old soap bar for washing clothes rub that in to the clothes ,leave like this all night then give them a wash by hand and rinse . or if you have no time for all that through them away & buy new ones

There are lots of ways. The best is to buy three or four, and throw one in the wash at the end of the day.
Be sure to hang them up to airdry after you finish using them.
You can soak them in cool water and a little bleach for 10 minutes (or overnight).
You can also microwave them.
But bleaching and microwaving tends to weaken the fibers, so you have to toss them more often. But really, dishrags are cheap. It's best to have clean fresh ones.

I normall fill sink with enough hot water to soak cloth in. I alternate between bicarb and vinegar or a splash of disinfectant. I let these soak for a while rinse and i hang on the tap to dry out over night and whenever it is not in use. Twice a week I throw it through the wash.

I don't have that problem because I use disposable ones. I buy the Kleenex Viva Scrub Clothes use them about 3 to 4 days then just throw them away and pull out a new one from the packet, They sell these in Walmart you get 6 for a $1.00 they are nice size and reusable. But be sure you hang it on your faucet to dry for next time to use. Hope this helps.

How come mine doesn't smell??. Maybe your leaving it scrunch up in the sink where it is wet all the time. Try doing this. Wash it with deterdant with hot water and take out the excess water well then hang it on the side of your sink where you put your clean dishes, allow it to dry, if you do that all the time, it shouldn't smell. Try changing it often as well

Get rid of all the stinkers and start over. Always rinse it before and after you use it. Never leave it in a ball after use. Lay if flat to dry. Never use them for too long without washing. Soak in vinegar now and again.

Start with brand new washclothes. Then after the day is done, put it up to dry and once dry, put into the hamper for washing. You should start with a fresh cloth each day, and be hanging it up to dry over the faucet after each use/rinse.
To keep them white, use a bit of bleach when you wash them.

Rub baking soda into them. Then let them sit in a bucket of vinegar for several hours. Stir them around once in awhile. Then wash and rinse them in a regular washing cycle.

Use baking soda..if that doesn't work try bleach..don't mix the two though...if all else fails..you will need to buy new ones. You could also try Spray"nWash and let them soak a bit b4 washing...one of these should work.
